Supporting Students with Behavioural and Mental Health ChallengesToday’s classrooms are filled with possibilities that both bless and challenge the learner and the teacher. Recognizing the growing complexity classroom teachers and staff face in supporting diverse students with behavioural and mental health challenges, we will work collaboratively to understand where our professional responsibilities start and stop, and consider case studies that allow us to discuss specifically how all teachers and staff can support students well.Students who live with behavioural and mental health challenges are often misdiagnosed and misunderstood, and the number of students who experience such challenges has steadily increased over the years. Facilitated by Justin Cook, Director of Learning, and Sara Pot, Communities of Belonging Liaison, and with the presence and insight from local specialists in the field of behavioural and mental health, we look forward to learning with you.
