@Redeemer University College, Ancaster, ONIn Luke’s gospel, Jesus speaks of the Kingdom of God like a great banquet that is thrown not for the religious elite but for those who have often been on the margins. He says, “compel them to come, so that my house will be full.” This is the “imperative of love”—a desire of belonging for all.Edvance Christian Schools Association invites you to come together at our October Annual Gathering! Educators ConventionRelationships matter in schools. Edvance Christian Schools Association, in partnership with Christian Schools Canada, is committed not only to fostering relational health but also to researching our relational strengths and gaps.Dr. Rob Loe from Relational Schools Foundation will share with us the results of our landmark study in relationships in Canadian Christian schools, revealing to us the landscape of relational health in schools both locally and globally and offering us insight that can deepen our commitment to the imperative of love. Dr. Loe is the Founder and Director of Relational Schools. Having studied Education at Cambridge University, he pursued areas of specialism such as schooling and exclusion, the family and community dimensions of social exclusion and school improvement and effectiveness. A former teacher and senior leader, Robert now researches, writes, and speaks on the importance of fostering positive relationships between key stakeholders in schools. In October of 2018, Rob was invited to become the new CEO of Relationships Foundation, the original charity that founded and incubated the schools’ project but also works across a range of public and private sector contexts internationally. As in years past, we will have a wide array of workshops during the breakout sessions.Interested in proposing a breakout session? Submit a proposal to lead a workshop session here!
