Bluewater Cohort Leader

Edvance is seeking a Cohort Leader for the Bluewater region.

All Edvance affiliate school leaders are invited to participate in a regional Leadership Cohort. These Leadership Cohorts are convened by Edvance and led by a recognized and appointed school leader in that region. This is a key Edvance leadership service and a significant component of the relational wellbeing and professional growth of Edvance affiliate school leaders.

In this role the Bluewater Cohort Leader will work closely with the Director of Leadership at Edvance to support Christian school leaders in the Bluewater region. Key annual responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with Edvance affiliate school leaders in the Cohort to identify and build leadership capacity.
  • Convening four to six regional/school level cohort meetings.
  • Writing one article for publication in the Edvance Notice newsletter focused on a theme identified at the annual Cohort Leader August retreat.
  • Providing support for Edvance affiliate school leaders within the regional cohort by staying in direct contact with them as needed.
  • Providing mentorship to new Edvance affiliate school leaders in the cohort.
  • Helping to identify emerging leaders within the cohort region.
  • Regularly communicating with Edvance’s Director of Leadership regarding leadership joys, opportunities, and challenges within the regional cohort.
  • Welcoming non-affiliate Christian school leaders to participate in regional cohort meetings.
  • Participating in at least four Cohort Leader meetings per year hosted by the Director of Leadership, including the Cohort Leader retreat (1-2 days).
  • Providing the Director of Leadership with relevant and timely ideas and support in new initiatives.
  • Demonstrating commitment to ongoing leadership development by engaging in professional development including, but not limited to, the Global Leadership Summit, educational conferences, professional reading, and Edvance events.

Experience and Education:

  • Graduate degree (and/or significant professional experience)
