Full-time Teachers for Muskoka Christian High School

Muskoka Christian High School is a new addition to Muskoka Christian School, broadening the school’s scope to include education for Grades 9-12 and providing students with opportunities to earn their Ontario Secondary School Diploma. Entering its second year, Muskoka Christian High School operates in conjunction with online education providers, with plans to integrate in-person, classroom instruction as the school grows. Co-curricular programming and discipleship are core offerings of Muskoka Christian High School. We are eager to accept applications from candidates who desire to ground students in Biblical worldview, nurture skills through academic excellence and launch leaders who impact their communities.

Position Summary:

We are seeking dedicated and experienced teachers with a heart for youth and a passion to serve Jesus to join our vibrant Christian high school community for August 2024. We anticipate a need for two teachers with a breadth of experience and subject qualifications. The successful candidates will be responsible for supervising and supporting high school students in online courses, instructing in-person classes in their areas of expertise, leading the student body in devotions and Bible instruction, and initiating and maintaining relationships with community partners to develop co-curricular opportunities for students.

• Demonstrated commitment to uphold Christian values, to lead by example, and to instill these values in students.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Demonstrated ability to work with a team
• Enthusiastic self-starter who is able to take the mission and values of the school and translate them into action
• Passion for teaching critical thinking and apologetics

Educational and Experience Requirements:

• Must possess an Ontario Teacher Certificate with Intermediate/Senior qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years prior teaching experience
• Experience in a Christian high school setting is an asset.
• School leadership experience is an asset.
• Experience navigating a variety of online educational platforms
• Experience developing and delivering programs with community partners
