TDChristian is seeking a part-time psychotherapist/ social worker for the 2025-26 school year to cover a parental leave. The ideal candidate would work closely with our Guidance team and have a deep desire for students to experience a healthy mind, body, and spirit and work between 1-2 days/ week.

Responsibilities of the role:

• Assess the social, emotional, and psychological needs of students referred for counselling. 

• Respond in a timely manner to all counselling referrals made by family members, teachers, administrative staff, peers, or student self-referrals. 

• Provide individual counselling to students, referring to other professionals as time/need permits 

• Provide, if determined as needed, direct support, counselling, and/or mediation with family members, teachers, administrative staff, and peers of student referred as necessary.  

• Maintain confidentiality of student information in compliance with PHIPA.   

• Follow mandatory reporting procedures as outlined by the Child and Family Services Act.  

• Maintain confidential files and records in accordance with professional standards and/or regulatory college expectations.  

• Provide crisis intervention and tragic response interventions to students, family, and school community.  

• Maintain and establish referral network/linkages with outside agencies for both students and families. 

• Provide staff training, parent information meetings, and student classroom presentations on an occasional basis, as needed or requested.  

Suggested Requirements/Qualifications 

• A master’s degree in social work or equivalent education and training.  

• Membership with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Registered Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), College of Registered Psychotherapists (CRPO) or membership with an equivalent regulatory college. 

• Five or more years of experience in the field of adolescent mental health, preferably in an educational setting.  
• Professional liability insurance.
