Educational Assistant (EA): Alliston Community Christian School is searching for an Educational Assistant to provide educational support for children in 1-to-1 and small group settings.

In this role, you will be working with children identified for special assistance by an Individual Education Plan (IEP).  You will be providing guidance and support as students complete their classwork. You will work closely with the Special Education Resource Teacher and classroom teachers as you advise students ranging in age from 4 to 13 years old. • demonstrate understanding of the learning process and compassion for students with learning challenges. Your formal training and previous experience as an EA elsewhere is an asset to our students.
• communicate effectively with the ACCS team of teachers, administration, parents, and students. You will advocate for the learning needs of the students entrusted to your attention.
• work collaboratively with the ACCS team, embracing and supporting the Christian culture of ACCS. You will make interpretations of the Individual Educational Plans of students and make adjustments to the learning materials, assist in preparatory work and take initiative in implementing the educational program in line with the IEP.
• guide students in their personal conduct, nurturing Christian character in them.
