Dunnville Christian School is hiring Elementary Teachers for 2023 2024

Teaching is the best job in the world! Dunnville Christian School is seeking elementary teachers for the 2023/2024 school year.

“Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.” (Colossians 2:6&7).  We are looking for educators who are rooted in Christ, dedicated to developing as a teacher and desire to faithfully serve the Lord through teaching.  When a student is guided to overcome challenges, gain new understanding through a lesson or concept, or shares insights into how they think about the world God has made and their role in God's Story, teachers know they are making an impact in the lives of the children they teach.

Dunnville Christian School is an active community of learners, overflowing with thankfulness and joy for the great things God has done.  Through quality Christ centered education, we nurture and challenge students to develop their gifts to serve God and others. Students thrive when they are encouraged to create authentic, beautiful work that reflects the beauty of our Creator.   We develop learning experiences that engage the whole child.  Growing and learning who we are in Christ and becoming the people God is creating us to be is a lifelong journey.  Teachers, paraeducators and students have the opportunity through Christian education to learn to live out the call to love God and others on a daily basis.

DCS Staff are trained in Teaching For Transformation, Project Based Learning and Responsive Classroom.  We have experienced teachers who mentor new staff, developing the skills, gifts and knowledge that can be learned collaboratively. We welcome parent volunteers in our daily routines at school and have strong support staff who help to maintain a safe, nurturing and clean environment.

We offer competitive salaries, based on years of experience and certification, including pension and a benefit plan.

When teachers share their curiosity and wonder, students are excited to participate in the learning journey! We are deeply thankful to have dedicated teachers who answer the call to train young hearts and minds to love and serve the Lord.  Send your cover letter, resume, statement of faith and your philosophy of education to principal@dunnvillechristianschool.ca.   We look forward to interacting with you and hearing how the Lord has been preparing you for His purposeful work of teaching!
