Timothy Christian School (TCS) is a thriving independent school, with over 174 students (from 92 families and over 58 churches represented) in grades JK-8.

Located in northwestern Toronto, TCS has flourished thanks to God’s continued blessings and many dedicated and committed parents. In 2023, TCS celebrates its 65th Anniversary, and we are looking forward to rejoicing in God’s faithfulness through the years and through generations. 

Our goal is to assist Christian parents in providing a Christ-centered education in a caring and welcoming environment where the focus is developing the academic abilities and talents of children for a life of service to God and their community. Our mission is “to educate and engage students for a life of service in God’s kingdom.” TCS is committed to ensuring that all members of staff feel valued, respected and supported. 

We are welcoming applications for full and part time primary and junior teachers to support growth in our school this fall. A good fit will be determined based on the profile of the applicant and how they could fit within our already excellent teaching staff. 

Job Summary

The Primary and Junior Educator must demonstrate an ability to deal with proven competency in working with younger students, have a passion to show Jesus Christ through education, adaptable, and significant capacity to collaborate as part of a team of educators. The successful candidate will be able to creatively engage students using a variety of teaching tools and methods. The candidate will demonstrate a commitment to growth as an educator and have a desire to contribute to the overall mission and vision of the school. 

What We Are Looking For

• A person who exemplifies through word and deed a true life and love for Jesus Christ. They have the desire to share Christ with others within the school community and abroad.
• Someone who is approachable and welcoming
• Preference will be given to applicants who have CSTC and/or OTC teacher qualifications.
• Facilitates problem-solving, with a curious mind and innovative thinking skills, showing a high degree of creative application in the implementation.
• Looks beyond the walls of the classroom and seeks to convey academic excellence and understand how their work will expand the impact of students’ work to their families and local and global communities.
• Recognizes the relationship between social-emotional learning and academic performance and aspires toward developing and teaching the whole child.
