Full Time - LTO

Contract Position - January 6, 2025 - June 19, 2025

Rhema CS is accepting applications for a full time Grade 4 teacher LTO position. Our Grade 4/5 class has grown this year and we're planning to split it after the Christmas break.

A successful candidate will be able to

• carry out the professional duties of a teacher in accordance with the school's policies under the direction of the Lead Team 
• accurately and effectively assess students
• continue to implement long-range plans and unit plans that the previous teacher has in place 
• demonstrate effective teaching practices that include differentiated instruction to remediate and enrich student learning
• take responsibility for professional development and to work in a collaborative working environment
• potentially lead, coordinate, and/or support co-curricular activities, sports and/or clubs

Job Requirements:

• Teacher certification (OCT or equivalent).
• Effective classroom management
• Able to assess, monitor, and report on student progress
• Able to differentiate instruction and to use inclusive and innovative teaching practices
• Able to to take direction and be open to feedback and new learning opportunities
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
