Dunnville Christian School is seeking Educational Assistants for the 2024/2025 school year. 

“Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.” (Colossians 2:6&7).  We are looking for people who are rooted in Christ, dedicated to developing as an educational assistant and desire to faithfully serve the Lord in this capacity.  When a student is guided to overcome challenges, gain new understanding through a lesson or concept, or shares insights into how they think about the world God has made and their role in God's Story, educators know they are making an impact in the lives of the children they teach.    

The current position prerequisites include but are not limited to:

• Educational Assistant Diploma or Early Childhood Education Diploma 
• Experience working with students in an educational setting
• Member of a Christ centered, bible preaching church 
• Actively serving in your community

The Educational Assistant roles and responsibilities include:

• Be able to lead a group of pupils, and/or be able to guide a child with exceptionalities
• Be a support to the classroom teacher by working with groups of students, and or assisting in the learning process
• Be patient and flexible when working with children
• Distributes and collects completed tasks/assignments/material.
• Assists with the supervision of students during emergency drills, assemblies, and outside play.
• Assists students in the Library.
• Assists students with preparation for going outside and returning inside.
• Assists with lunch, snack, and clean up routines.
• Assists with photocopying, bulletin boards, marking, etc. 
• Assists with wash-up and toilet routines.
• Yard duties

We offer competitive hourly rates in line with the Edvance Paraeducators Compensation report.
