Providence Christian School is looking for a part time administrative assistant to assist in the front office. This individual will be passionate about serving staff, students, and the community. The successful candidate will be committed to helping Providence fulfill the mission and vision of the school while demonstrating flexibility in working with others. Part-time Administrative Assistant Description
Required Education and Scope
There is no specific or required education for this position although it may be a benefit to hold a bachelor’s in a related field like administration, or communications. Diplomas in similar fields are also welcomed which may also include marketing. The candidate will be required to work on school admissions, as a promotions assistant, and social media support. Computer literacy is vital for this position as well as being proficient online and with social media platforms. Additional qualities such as a passion for education, creativity, a knack for collaboration, and a love for working for others is a definite benefit.
Job Duties
ADMINISTRATION:
- Day-to-day activities (shared afternoons with PT); general communication assistance, filing, working with student files.
- Teacher Support: end-of-June tasks, pre-school and September supply inventory and distribution; data entry
Marketing, Alumni contact and development Includes social media posts, special event coordination and managing admissions prospects, working with school administration and financial staff to oversee and direct lead generation for prospective families, marketing the school, and communicating with alumni which could include:
- Managing admissions events such as Open Houses
- Producing admissions materials such as brochures and posters
- Tracking and moving families through the admission funnel
- Creating and maintaining student records
- Creating reports to share with the Principal and School Board
- Scheduling tours for prospective parents
- Donor requests, transactions, mailings (future campaign assistance)
- Communication to the wider community through Facebook, Instagram, and other social media outlets.
- Communication to churches represented in the Providence student body
- Communication and coordination with Church Ambassador Program and Promotion Committee
- Special event assistance: coordination, contact point, purchasing
- Producing and editing the quarterly newsletter
Hours: 9-10 hours per week
Rate: TBD based on qualifications
