Overview of Role
The Enrolment & Marketing Coordinator will lead initiatives that support the growth and visibility of Mississauga Christian Academy (MCA). By creating and managing targeted enrolment and marketing strategies, the Coordinator will attract prospective families, strengthen the school's community presence, and enhance MCA's reputation as a premier private Christian educational institution.
Objectives
- Drive enrolment growth and community recognition for MCA.
- Implement strategic marketing campaigns to reach local and international audiences.
- Collaborate closely with the Advancement Committee, SERVE volunteers, and other stakeholders to support MCA’s mission and vision.
Responsibilities
- Executes enrolment and marketing plans in collaboration with the Advancement Committee and SERVE program volunteers to increase school recognition and enrolments.
- Participates in the planning, developing, and implementing marketing/advertising/ promotional campaigns.
- Creates content for marketing collateral and internal/external communications to promote the school in the Meadowvale area and surrounding communities.
- Maintains digital marketing platform ensuring messaging aligns with MCAs mission and vision, supports a presence on digital platforms for all audiences local or international.
- Manages the school website and all digital platforms.
- Gathers and analyzes digital platforms and campaign analytics to proactively work on optimizing performance.
- Creates and provides support with internal and external communications to key stakeholders.
- Coordinates school tours and visits.
- Coordinates student application and placement testing for prospective students.
- Provides support in the office and the school as required.
- Maintains a complete and accurate record of parent/student details.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in applicable field.
- 2-5 years experience in marketing, communications or applicable field.
- Preference is given to candidates with past experience in private education.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proven experience in creating impactful marketing materials and messaging.
Key Competencies
- Proven experience in marketing, communications and/or private education.
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills, demonstrating a proven ability to connect with key stakeholders (parents, vendors, partners, donors, etc.)
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Ability to speak in front of an audience to clearly communicate valuable/impactful information.
- Experience using digital tools to execute on daily tasks - email marketing ( Constant Contact, Mailchimp), design (Creative suite, Canva), CMS ( Drupal, Wix, Wordpress), Social Media ( Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)
- Understanding of managing messaging on various digital platforms.
- Self starter, collaborative and innovative thinker to identify and execute on opportunities to generate awareness for the school and increase enrolment
- Proven track record of managing and completing projects within established budgets and timelines.
Working Conditions and Mandatory Requirements
- Be a believing Christian who is committed to the highest standards of Christian living and adheres to the statements of faith for Mississauga Christian Academy and its parent ministry Meadowvale Bible Baptist Church.
- The nature of the work is such that evening and some weekend work may be required.
- A Criminal records/vulnerable sector background check is a requirement of employment.
- Completion of mandatory Child protection and safeguarding training (Plan to Protect) is compulsory prior to the start of employment.
