Abbotsford Christian School, located in the Fraser Valley, is a well-established, interdenominational school of 1,200 students on three campuses: Elementary (preschool – grade 4), Middle (5-8), and Secondary (9-12).

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER/DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

Abbotsford Christian School is currently accepting applications for a full-time CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER/DIRECTOR OF FINANCE beginning April 1, 2025.

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) provides Abbotsford Christian School (ACS) with financial leadership and is responsible for all financial aspects of the ACS Society. As a member of the leadership team, the CFO collaborates with stakeholders to ensure the short- and long-term financial sustainability of the school, financial alignment with strategic priorities, enhancement of operational efficiency, stewardly use of resources, and management of the Society’s exposure to risk and liability. The CFO provides oversite to the board finance team, finance department staff, director of operations, and human resources, and provides support to the board of directors by contributing to the strategic direction of the school and collaborating on school initiatives and projects.

The ideal candidate must have:

• Canadian CPA designation
• A master’s degree in business administration, financial management, or related field would be an asset
• A minimum of five years experience in financial management
• Background in effectively leading a team
• Participation in strategic business growth
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 and is dependent on an applicant’s qualifications and experiences.
