2 - JUNIOR/INTERMEDIATE TEACHING OPPORTUNITIES

Position Summary:

Thunder Bay Christian School (TBCS) is seeking applications for one full- time Junior/Intermediate teaching positions and one full-time Junior/Intermediate maternity leave postion.
TBCS is a Junior Kindergarten to Gr. 12 school that is supported by many churches throughout Thunder Bay, Ontario. Our school is surrounded and supported by a community that volunteers and gives to TBCS with excitement and duty, joyfully serving our Lord. It is a daily blessing to witness, and a testament to our students about the value of being part of Gods Family. We are looking for team players, who are committed to supporting each individual student in there walk with the Lord and who would like to be part of this wonderful school and community!

This individual also:
• loves Jesus, is committed to following His leading, and enjoys pointing others to Him
• enjoys teaching older students in highly relational ways, leading by example, fostering a wholesome class atmosphere to guide in the maturing and development of the whole student, so that they may grow in awareness of their purpose and identity as a child of God

Accountabilities:
• Maintain the Standards of Practice and the Ethical Standards for the Teaching Profession as outlined by the Ontario College of Teachers
• To teach diligently and faithfully, from a Reformed Biblical view, the school’s course(s) of study
• To participate and/or conduct normally scheduled Parent-Teacher interviews
• To be ready and willing to discuss, as needed, the child’s progress with the parents, using adequate
records of achievement
• To use methods, appropriate for different learning styles
• To establish and maintain good classroom management

Qualifications
• Commitment to the school’s mission, vision, and values
• Current professional OCT (Ontario Teachers Certificate) certification and/or a CSTC (Christan School Teachers Certificate)
• Demonstrated computer skills, e.g. Word Processing, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, email, and data
management systems.

This is a full-time position, but part time applications are welcome, beginning in August 2025
