You are someone who is passionate about nurturing and inspiring young children to love, learn, and lead together in God's world.
Together with a cohesive teaching and support staff dedicated to relationship building, personal growth, and enhancing the learning of our 4- to 14-year-old students, you bring both competency and a positive attitude to your work. You will join the educational team in our fifth year of studying and implementing the Teaching for Transformation design framework, continuing our deepening of Restorative Practices in Education, and seeking new and innovative ways to inspire awe and wonder in our students as they discover, explore, and engage with God's world. Your character models the traits we strive toward as a community: curiosity, compassion, collaboration, perseverance, integrity, and JOY!
Our vision is to be the leaders in education by inspiring a diverse and unified student body to love, learn, and lead with God’s grace, bringing Christ’s love to the world. We are currently seeking paraeducators at both of our campuses next year.
Our paraeducators fulfill roles such as
- Personal Support Workers carefully assisting students with physical needs in the classroom and through their day at school,
- Educational Assistants implementing Individualized Education Plans in conjunction with our Student Support Coordinator to adapt and modify educational expectations to meet the abilities and strengths of specific students, and
- Teaching Assistants working alongside classroom teachers, ensuring school & classroom experiences and lessons inspire our students.
Our students who bring unique physical and learning gifts and challenges are fellow image bearers and make our school a better place. We strive to be a school of belonging for all students!
If you find yourself nodding in agreement and excitement about the above, please submit a letter of application and resume that outlines the strengths and aptitudes you would bring to the position, along with your relevant experience and training. Please also include your statement of Christian faith.
We appreciate your interest in this position. Preference will be given to individuals who have specific training and experience aligned with the needs of our students, including, but not limited to, autism spectrum, global development delays, Down syndrome, and unique physical limitations. Interested parties should apply as soon as they are able. This posting will remain active and open until the position is filled. Only those applicants selected for an interview will be contacted.
