Mathematics teacher

Future Hope Academy Christian School is a private, co-ed day, and Ministry of Education-inspected school offering the Ontario curriculum to Grades 7-12. We are looking for a part-time Math teacher to teach grades 7-12 Math courses for the 2025-2026 school year starting September 1, 2025. This position may lead to a permanent position if the candidate shows a high degree of job performance.


Responsibilities:

  • Utilize differentiated instruction and collaborative inquiry to maximize student learning.
  • Teach students about the structure and content of Mathematics
  • Maintain a professional and positive learning environment to ensure success.
  • Record, track and report student information such as grades, learning skills, attendance, and descriptive feedback.


Professional qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
  • OCT preferred, with Senior qualifications.
  • English native speaker.
  • Experienced in the Ontario High School Math Curriculum.
  • Experienced in course development with course binder.
  • Preferred experience in preparing for Ontario high school inspection.
  • At least 2-years-experience with working at a Ministry-inspected private School.
  • Familiarity with the ZOOM platform, google classroom, and other classroom tools.
  • Outgoing, dynamic, and fun personality and teaching style.
  • Knowledge of the seven fundamental principles of assessment.
  • Experience with international students is an asset.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00-$32.00 per hour

Employees of Future Hope Academy (FHA) must be practicing Christians. The employee will be a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions towards others and must:

  • be a member in good standing at a Christian church that has a statement of faith that concurs with the Future Hope Academy Statement of Faith (found at https://www.futurehopeacademy.com/statements-of-faith/).
  • be in full agreement with Future Hope Academy’s Statement of Faith.
