Sara comes into this part-time position with both professional and personal experience: Sara and her husband Ralph are the parents of four girls, two of whom are medically fragile with complex needs.

Sara has been given opportunities to advocate for children like hers, as well as offer personal insight on the tension of reconciling faith and disability. She writes a regular column for Christian Courier.

As Communities of Belonging Liaison, Sara supports the Belonging Bursary offered by the Christian School Foundation, as well as networking with and for Christian schools and their families in support of students with special needs and a vision of belonging for all. In the public sector of our communities, Sara continues to foster connections with the goal to create allies within our communities, to develop relationships with local publicly-funded service providers and agencies, and to support a clear voice for our schools when it comes to conversations with provincial ministries.
