Ian is a gifted administrator and thoughtful visionary, with many years of experience in Christian education.

As Edvance’s Director of School Services, Ian brings a posture of humility, proven integrity, and commitment to serving others. His deep love for and knowledge of independent school structures and cultures equip him to provide the next generation of leadership in this area.

Ian received his B.A. and education degree from Redeemer University in Ancaster and a M.Ed. from Calvin University in Grand Rapids, MI. His work in the education field started 24 years ago at Dunnville Christian School. In 2001, he joined Laurentian Hills Christian School in Kitchener, first as a teacher, then IT Coordinator, vice-principal, and then 12 years as principal and COO. In his current role at Edvance, Ian provides support for affiliate schools in the areas of governance, administration, and operational management.

On the weekend, you will find Ian spending time with family, doing home improvement projects, or cheering on Toronto FC and the Leafs.
