Kingston Christian School (KCS) is seeking a Christ-centered educational professional and visionary leader to serve as our next Chief Operating Officer (COO) / Principal.

This role combines the strategic responsibilities of a COO with the educational leadership of a Principal. Our ideal candidate has a proven passion for Christian education, possesses strong leadership and innovation skills, and demonstrates a faithful commitment to the mission, vision, and values of KCS.

We are thankful for our vibrant and nurturing educational community consisting of approximately 145 students and 20 staff members.  

The Opportunity

This is an exciting time in our school's unfolding story as we are growing our high school (Grade 10 begins in September 2025) while building capacity and academic excellence across the elementary program. Our deep desire is to be a light and partner with even more families in our city and surrounding area. 

This position reports directly to the Board and is responsible for all operational aspects of the school.

Preferred Qualifications (Equivalency may be considered)

• Master’s degree in Education OR Bachelor’s degree in Education plus a Principal’s Certificate
• A minimum of five years of teaching experience (preferably across a variety of grades) and a minimum of five years of administrative experience and staff oversight (preferably with operating in a governance model with a Board of Directors)
• A deep understanding of Christian values and how they can be integrated into curriculum 
• Strong leadership, planning, team-building, negotiation, business administration, and communications skills
• Experience in developing / delivering intermediate or high school education
• Experience in curriculum development and navigating Ontario Ministry of Education approvals
• Experience with STEM and project-based learning, service learning and co-curricular integration
• Ability to work collaboratively with others and build relationships
• Financial planning and budgeting experience
• Fundraising and donor relationship stewardship experience is strongly preferred
• Ontario College of Teachers certification preferred
• Familiarity with Kingston / the KCS community is an asset

This is a full-time , on-site position in Kingston, Ontario, starting August 1, 2025.
