Guelph Community Christian School (GCCS) is seeking a self motivated, detail oriented Financial Administrator.

GCCS is an independent Christian elementary school serving students from Preschool to Grade 8.

Our mission is to nurture, educate, and inspire students in Christ-centred learning and serving. 

Main Responsibilies include:

• data entry for tuition and donation income
• accounts payable and receivable
• tuition registration processes
• general ledger and all reconciliations
• internal financial reporting
• attend all Finance Committee meetings
• government remittances and other required filings.
• payroll, donation receipts, data analysis, comparative reports, bursaries, arrears, budget prep, and all fiscal year end audit responsibilities. 

Skill, Experience and Qualifications:

• Passion for Christian education and alignment with the vision and mission of GCCS
• Post secondary education in Accounting, and equivalent work experience
• Proficient in QuickBooks and Excel
• 3+ years of financial administration experience, preferably in a school setting 
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely 
• Demonstrated track record of maintaining confidentiality

Approximate hours of work: 2 days per work week (including during summer months) at the GCCS office (about 16 hours per week)

Compensation: $25 - $35 per hour, based on qualifications and experience
