Principal

Leading with faith. Teaching for transformation.

Alliston Community Christian School (ACCS) is seeking a passionate, faith-filled, and relational leader to serve as our next Principal.

As we celebrate 45 years of Christian education, we are grateful for a community committed to nurturing students in faith, learning, and service. Our mission is to provide an education that develops the whole child—mind, heart, and spirit—preparing students to live faithfully and participate in God's work in the world.

Guided by our school theme, “Mission Possible: Being God’s Agents of Change,” we are looking for a leader who shares our vision for Christ-centred education and is eager to help our school community continue to grow and flourish.

Whether you are an experienced school leader or an emerging leader ready to take the next step, we invite you to consider this exciting opportunity!

The Opportunity

The Principal provides spiritual, educational, and administrative leadership, cultivating a school culture where students and staff are encouraged to grow in faith, pursue excellence, and discover their God-given gifts and calling.

Working collaboratively with the Board, staff, parents, and broader community, the Principal will champion the school's mission and vision, support excellent teaching and learning, and foster a safe, caring, and Christ-centred environment.

This is a full-time leadership position with the potential for some teaching responsibilities, depending on the needs of the school and the strengths of the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Spiritual Leadership: Model a vibrant Christian faith and nurture a school culture rooted in biblical principles, prayer, worship, discipleship, and service.
  • Educational Leadership: Provide vision and direction for teaching and learning, promoting educational excellence through a Christ-centred curriculum and biblical worldview.
  • Staff Leadership and Development: Encourage, mentor, and support teachers and staff through collaboration, professional growth, and accountability.
  • Student Care and Development: Champion the academic, spiritual, social, and emotional growth of students while maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Community Engagement: Build strong, trusting relationships with families, the Board, and the wider community, recognizing parents as valued partners in Christian education.
  • School Administration: Oversee daily operations, staffing, student support and discipline, policy implementation, and other administrative responsibilities.
  • Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the Board and school community to advance the school's vision, strengthen community engagement, and support sustainable growth.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a valid Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certificate.
  • Have some experience in a principal or vice-principal role, but we have an openness to considering an emerging leader who demonstrates readiness and potential for school leadership.
  • Demonstrate a mature and growing Christian faith and a strong commitment to Christian education.
  • Be able to articulate and model a biblical worldview in educational practice and leadership.
  • Possess strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to educational excellence, student well-being, and staff development.
  • Lead with integrity, humility, wisdom, compassion, and a collaborative spirit.
  • Be eager to work alongside the Board, staff, parents, and community to advance the school's mission.

Why Join ACCS?

At ACCS, you will become part of a caring Christian school community where faith shapes learning, relationships matter, and students are encouraged to discover their gifts and use them in service to God and others.

This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students, encourage and equip Christian educators, and help shape the future of a school with a rich history and a shared vision for Christian education.

We are looking for a leader who sees school leadership not simply as an administrative responsibility, but as a calling to serve, inspire, and help others flourish.
