Quinte Christian High School (QCHS) and Belleville Christian School (BCS) are seeking a part time music teacher (40%). QCHS and BCS are located across the parking lot from each other.

QCHS & BCS are owned and operated by the Quinte Region Christian Schools (www.qrcs.ca). Located just a few hours east of Toronto in the beautiful Bay of Quinte region, in total these four schools have joined together with a collaborative vision for the long term future of Christian education in the Quinte area. As Teaching for Transformation (TfT) schools, we seek candidates enthusiastic to create authentic, formational learning experiences that  invite, nurture, and empower students to play their part in God’s story through their everyday learning.

Ideally we are seeking OCT certified teachers who are dedicated Christians with  the ability to  teach these subjects through a distinct Christian worldview.  Knowledge and/or experience in classroom implementation of differentiated instruction, technology/Google Classroom, and Teaching for Transformation would be beneficial but not mandatory.

The position will include teaching an introductory grade 9 music class and a senior level music class at Quinte Christian High School -- one in each semester and a senior elementary music class 2x/week for the duration of the academic year at Belleville Christian School (likely on Tuesdays and Thursdays for an hour each day in the afternoon)  Skills in vocal and instrumental music (band), music theory as well as a passion for working with teens and leading them in praise and worship are an asset.
