Receptionist & Office Assistant

This is a full-time role, beginning August 11, 2025.

If you are saying yes, then we welcome you to consider a King’s Christian Collegiate opening for a Receptionist and Office Assistant, a vital role in the daily operation and harmony of the school office. Due to a retirement, this is a full-time position for an experienced Receptionist with professional skills and proven proficiency in office organization who:

Responsibilities include: 

Reception:

  • managing the front desk of the Main Office with hospitality and cheer—greet and assist people, answer phones, connect people with the person who can best help
  • caring for King’s guests and families arriving for Admissions interview, often contributing to the first impression of King’s
  • managing a significant volume of interactions, emails, calls, and requests for assistance
  • transferring important information to the Admin Team within a helpful and confidential environment
  • providing basic first aid and generous logistical help to students (e.g. uniform problem solving, printing)

Office Support:

  • using office and educational technology platforms and tools
  • assistance with supply teacher printing
  • assistance with Admissions appointments and supporting documents
  • manage the ordering, availability and the effective distribution of resources related to the daily or cyclical functions of the office or school (e.g. office supplies, lockers, exam folders, etc.)
  • maintaining updated school calendars, and helping coordinate the principal’s calendar
  • managing bus lists and related client care, school bus requests (e.g. field trips), liaising effectively with the bus company and drivers
  • capable of and committed to punctuality, responsibility, reliability, accuracy, task completion, tidiness, and timelines
  • any other ad hoc office support duties assigned

This role is full-time, Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm daily, requiring the flexibility to occasionally monitor office email or attend school activities outside of regular hours, with needs communicated by the school in advance. The role offers four weeks of summer vacation time, plus holidays common to the students and staff during the September to June school year.
