Mississauga Christian Academy is a culturally diverse private school dedicated to providing an excellent, Christ-centered, academically rigorous education.

We are seeking an Aftercare Personnel to join our vibrant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising students in the After Care program and should be comfortable working with students ranging in age from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8 (ages 3 - 14). 

Starting Availability: 

Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, 3:30 PM - 6:00 PM with the possibility of increasing to 5 days a week depending on aftercare capacity.

Wages:

$20.00 per hour + 4% autovacation pay

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

1. Care for children ranging in age from kindergarten through 8th grade. 
2. Build positive rapport with parents and families so they feel confident in leaving their children in our care.
3. Keep accurate records of attendance including sign in/out.
4. Complete Accident Incident reports accurately as needed.
5. Keeps the safety and well-being of the children their first priority at all times. 
6. Any other duties as deemed necessary by the Program Coordinator.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Required certifications – CPR, First Aid and online Child Abuse training. 
2. Required background check. 
3. Pleasant and patient personality, with the ability to understand children and parent needs. 
4. Understanding of growth and development of children kindergarten through middle school. 
5. The ability to plan, organize and implement age-appropriate activities. 
6. Demonstrate and align with MCA values.
