DCHS Mission Statement: 

Durham Christian High School strives to provide an excellent Christ-centered education which enables students to develop their sense of wonder at God’s work, their awareness of humanity’s role in culture, and their gifts for a life of service to God and others. 

Durham Christian High School seeks to hire a full time English and Humanities teacher for the 2026-27 school year. Specific courses are assigned each spring. 

The desired candidate will profess a faith in Jesus and demonstrate a vibrant Christian lifestyle; and have an excellent rapport with teenagers. Candidates should be certified with the Ontario College of Teachers (or equivalent). DCHS teachers are trained in Teaching for Transformation. Candidates should outline any TfT experience in their applications.

DCHS uses the Edvance/Vocate Compensation Report to determine annual compensation amounts. Annual average salary for teaching positions at DCHS range from $45,000 to $96,000. This range is dependent on the applicants' level of education and years of teaching experience. The salary grid will be made available to candidates invited for an interview.
