Beacon Christian Preschool is seeking a Christ-centered, relational, and highly organized Preschool Director to provide leadership as Beacon launches a licensed early learning program in September 2026.

The Director will oversee daily operations, staffing, and program quality while ensuring compliance with provincial licensing requirements and alignment with Beacon’s Christian mission.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Vision

• Provide spiritual, educational, and operational leadership aligned with Beacon’s mission
• Foster a collaborative and professional staff culture
• Model Christ-like leadership and relational care

Program Oversight

• Ensure implementation of a high-quality early learning program aligned with “How Does Learning Happen?”
• Support developmentally appropriate play-based learning environments
• As the program expands, function as the Beacon Preschool’s initial early childhood educator.

Licensing & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA)
• Maintain policies, records, and documentation for inspections
• Oversee health and safety procedures

Staff Supervision & Development

• Recruit, hire, and supervise preschool staff
• Provide mentorship, coaching, and evaluation

Family & Community Engagement

• Build strong relationships with families
• Support transitions into the preschool and broader Beacon community

Administration & Operations

• Manage enrollment processes and waitlists
• Support budget oversight
• Coordinate scheduling and daily operations

Qualifications

• Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in good standing
• 3–5 years leadership experience in early learning or licensed childcare
• Current First Aid & CPR-C
• Vulnerable Sector Check
• Knowledge of Ontario licensing regulations

Compensation

Salary range: $50,000–$80,000 depending on experience
