Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Grade 2/3 Teacher who loves working with children and is committed to Christian education. The successful candidate will create a nurturing, engaging classroom environment where students are known, challenged, and discipled in their walk with Christ.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Ontario Curriculum
• Integrate a Biblical worldview into all subject areas and classroom life
• Foster a positive, Christ-centered classroom culture focused on character and discipleship
• Assess student learning using assessment as, for, and of learning
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration
• Participate in school life, including chapels, events, and community-building activities
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification (or eligibility)
• Strong understanding of the Ontario Curriculum (primary/junior division)
• Experience teaching in a classroom setting (preferred)
• A growing and active Christian faith, with a heart for discipling students
• Ability to build strong, respectful relationships with students and families
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Willingness to work collaboratively as part of a Christ-centered team

• Experience in a multi-grade classroom
• Familiarity with differentiated instruction and inclusive education practices
• Understanding of assessment and reporting practices in Ontario (e.g., report cards, DRA, MAP)
