School Receptionist/Administrative Assistant

Full-time role, beginning August 17, 2026

If you are saying yes, then we welcome you to consider a King’s Christian Collegiate opening for a School Receptionist and Office Assistant, a vital role in the daily operation and harmony of the school office. Due to the current Receptionist moving to a different King’s role, this is a full-time position for an experienced professional with proven proficiency in office organization who:

Responsibilities include:  

Reception: 

  • bringing a welcoming, solution-oriented approach to the front office while maintaining composure, patience and professional enthusiasm throughout the day 
  • adapting and being able to thrive in a sometimes interruption-driven environment while managing interactions, requests for assistance, emails and calls with efficiency and care 
  • employing strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to confidently and confidentially assess needs and direct inquiries to the appropriate person  
  • caring for King’s guests and families arriving for Admissions interviews, often contributing to the first impression of King’s 
  • providing generous logistical help to students (e.g. uniform problem solving, help with lost items, basic first aid, phone access) 

 

Office Support: 

  • parent responsiveness and care (e.g. attendance, bussing) 
  • using office and educational technology platforms and tools 
  • assistance with supply teacher printing 
  • managing the ordering and effective distribution of resources related to the daily or cyclical functions of the office or school (e.g. office supplies, lockers) 
  • maintaining updated school calendars for staff and families, and helping coordinate the principal’s calendar 
  • capable of and committed to punctuality, responsibility, reliability, accuracy, task completion, tidiness, and timelines 
  • any other ad hoc office support duties assigned 

 

This role is full-time, beginning with a one-year term contract that ideally leads to a permanent position if there is a strong mutual fit. The hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm daily, requiring the flexibility to occasionally monitor office email or attend school activities outside of regular hours, with is communicated by the school well in advance. The role offers four weeks of summer vacation time, plus holidays common to the students and staff during the September to June school year. 

Salary Range: 

$50,000 - $60,000 depending on credentials and relevant experience
